- **Your own coding agent**: Codex, Claude Code, ChatGPT or Claude, with the same rules. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/getting-started/agent-integrations
- **Build system**: Built the same way every time, sealed off from your keys and data. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/deployments
- **One description per app**: A short file lists everything the app uses. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/reference/manifest
- **Starters and your brand**: Tested screens and components, in your colours.

## Everything an app needs, built in.

Already set up, so the Agent spends its time on your app.

### Data: Store and share

- **Database**: Rules on every record, always on. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/database
- **Files**: Uploads up to 100 MB, private or shared. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/storage
- **Live updates**: Screens update by themselves, within each person's permissions. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/realtime
- **Backups**: Taken before every database change, and locked for 30 days. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/deployments#recovery

### Logic: Run on its own

- **Background jobs**: Saved first and retried, so work isn't lost. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/functions-cron
- **Server code**: Logic and webhooks that run on the server, never in the browser. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/functions-cron
- **Schedules**: Every Monday at 9, in your time zone. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/functions-cron
- **Agent tasks**: Recurring work done by the Agent, like weekly website checks. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/agent-tasks

### People: Who gets in

- **Sign-in**: Email link or password. A link only works in the browser that asked for it. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/auth
- **Sharing**: Private, named people, your organisation or public. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/auth
- **Customer accounts**: Public apps can have their own sign-up. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/auth#apps-that-manage-their-own-sign-in
- **Access for scripts**: Tokens for one app that you can revoke. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/auth#programmatic-private-app-access

### Connect: Reach out

- **Integrations**: Google, HubSpot, Slack and more built in, or connect your own system once. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/integrations
- **Email**: Send and receive. Replies come back to the app. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/email
- **Notifications**: To phones and computers, even when the app is closed. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/notifications
- **AI features**: Summaries, details pulled from documents, and images. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/integrations#ai-connection-modes

## Looked after once it's live.

The Agent that built the app keeps watch, and can fix what breaks.

1. **It sets up the watching**: When the Agent builds your app, it adds the numbers to watch and the alert rules that go with them. They go live with every release. Example rule: error rate above 5% for 15 minutes.
2. **An error sets off an alert**: If errors pass a rule's limit, an alert fires and wakes the Agent.
3. **It heals the app**: The Agent finds the cause, tests a fix in a private preview and releases it.
   - Finds the cause
   - Tests a fix in a private preview
   - Releases the fix
   - Closes the alert once it works

Automatic repair is switched on for each app. If no AI account is available, it waits and says so. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/telemetry

- **Logs and metrics**: Errors, requests and your own numbers, for every app. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/telemetry
- **Alert rules**: Ship with each release, so watching starts straight away. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/telemetry
- **Rollback**: The previous version is one step away. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/deployments
- **Visitor numbers**: Counted without storing IP addresses.

## Security and control.

OpenCloud enforces the important rules itself.

- **Private until you share it**: Private apps check who you are before any of their code runs.
- **Every app's data kept apart**: Rules on every record decide who sees what, and can't be switched off.
- **Keys stay on the server**: Passwords and keys reach only the app's server code, never the browser.
- **The Agent stays in its lane**: It can release, roll back or even delete the app it works on, and nothing else.

Safety nets: every change is tested in a private preview first, backups are locked for 30 days, and everything is recorded. What the Agent can do: https://docs.opencloud.ai/getting-started/agents

- **Apps belong to your organisation**: They keep running when people leave, and admins can manage them all.
- **AI accounts and budgets**: Your own accounts, weekly limits, and no markup.
- **OpenCloud staff access**: Admins can review an app as themselves. No secrets, and your app's rules still apply. Docs: https://docs.opencloud.ai/guides/auth
